Biography

Brimming with neon swagger, fret-board fireworks, and a wink that says we know exactly how loud the future can be, Masters of Prophecy are the evangelists of a new synth-metal age. Their self-description—“epic melodies that burst with synthwave and metal soundscapes”—isn’t hype; it’s a mission statement they tattoo on every soaring chorus and gated-reverb drum fill. Imagine The Midnight crash-landing on an ’80s arcade cabinet while Daft Punk hijacks Iron Maiden’s tour bus, and you’re somewhere in their laser-lit neighborhood. mastersofprophecy.com

The saga begins in late 2023, when producer-guitarist James “Prophecy” Baker—a bald rock-sage with a flaming six-string and a YouTube obsession—started producing synthwave that married surf-rock riffs to vapor-synth beats. He set out to prove that shredding guitars, Bollywood color-bursts, and gaming memes could (and should) party under one retro-futurist chrome dripping roof.

His sound is a kaleidoscope: Beach-Boys surf harmonies ride shotgun with Ratt-worthy guitar solos; Gunship-style pads glide beneath Bollywood-string flourishes; lyrical themes ping-pong from romantic arcades (“Boombox on Handlebars”) to tongue-in-cheek anthems (“I Love Cheese”) to sun-splashed surf epics (“Ride the Tide”). Top-streaming singles such as “Ghost in the Skyline,” “Flip My Switch,” and “Pastel Daze” have staked out Spotify playlists and Apple Music’s synthwave charts alike, while fan-favorite deep cuts—“Electric Mirage,” “Cosmic Euphoria,” “High-Tide Halo”—reveal the band’s playful, cinematic heart.

The breakout moment arrived with the music videos “Tranced” and “I’m Only A Dreamer.” Their Blade-Runner-meets-Miami-Vice video scorched millions of YouTube views and subscribers in five months, with a rapid fire of follow-ups such as “Echo,” “Chase Me,” and “Blaze Breaker.” The Prophecy-verse grows daily through interactive lyric polls, open-source remix stems, and arena-scaled streams where bracketed [Solo] tags cue real-time guitar heroics.
